Following the death of her son Wouter, who was a tropical doctor in Sierra Leone and contracted a fatal infectious disease in 2019, his mother Anique interviewed 12 other mothers who lost a child. They elaborated very personal stories about what happened to their children and explained how they have dealt with the great grief. They have all mustered the resilience to keep going. The last and 13th story is about Wouter and Anique’s own experiences.
