ANBI status

The Wouter Nolet Foundation (that the  Wouter Nolet Scholarship Fund operates) is a ‘Public Benefit Organization’ (Dutch: Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling (ANBI)), which means that donors may enjoy the fiscal advantages of the ‘Donation Law’ (Dutch: Geefwet).

Tax benefits

Donating to an ANBI registered foundation provides tax benefits for private people. One-time donations are in principle income tax deductible as far as exceeding a  threshold.  There is a minimum and a maximum that a private person may claim on his/her income tax application. Periodic donations (scheduled for at least 5 years in a row) may even be more attractive for private people as they are fully deductible from income tax applications. The only formality is a standard agreement that needs to be drawn with the Wouter Nolet Foundation (WNF) without a Notary deed.

In the standard ANBI agreement of periodic donations both parties fill out their personal details as well as some specific data:

  • 4b: Transaction number: unique number provided by WNF administration

  • 4c: RSIN number of WNF: 862876436

More information can be found here

The standard ANBI agreement and fill-in instruction can be downloaded here.
